Sony PS4 Slim 1TB Costs $299

Sony unveiled the PlayStation 4 Slim in September last year alongside the PlayStation 4 Pro. As the name suggests, it’s more or less the same console but one that has lost a few pounds and inches. At launch, it came with a 500GB hard drive and was priced at $299. Sony today announced that it has doubled the PlayStation 4 Slim storage to 1TB without increasing the price.

As previously mentioned, it’s more or less the same console that Sony released back in 2013. However, it does come with a slightly redesigned DualShock 4 controller. At launch, it was offered with a 500GB hard drive for $299.

The PlayStation 4 Slim can now be purchased with a 1TB hard drive for the same price, $299. It now offers more bang for the buck when compared to the Xbox One S which retails for $299 with a 500GB hard drive. However, many bundles are available for the Xbox One S that feature 1TB of storage for $349.

The company says that the PlayStation 4 Slim console with double the storage is going to be available for purchase from retailers like Amazon, GameStop, and Best Buy later this month.

This is going to give those who have been on the fence about buying a PlayStation 4 an additional incentive to spend the money.
