According to a report from The Investor, it seems that Samsung doesn’t think it is a big deal. The report claims that Samsung has advised users who are affected by the problem that they can easily fix it themselves by going to the phone’s settings and color optimization. This seems to echo what we heard the other day where an industry expert said that it could be due to the color balancing technology Samsung uses for their phones.
However there are some who claim that the reddish tint is due to faulty chips in the handset that have caused the GPU in the handset to malfunction, but clearly Samsung doesn’t think that is the case. During our review of the handset, we did not notice any sort of reddish tint so we’re not sure if adjusting the color optimization settings will fix it for users, but if you are affected by it then perhaps it could be worth trying. If that fails then we guess you’ll want to send it back to Samsung.
