The OnePlus 3 Touch Latency Has Been Fixed

While a lot of phones have specs that look similar, it’s the subtleties that makes all the difference. For example it could be how manufacturers optimize their UI to make it smooth, or how to squeeze out the best possible images from sensors using their own algorithms and software.

In the case of the OnePlus 3, not all touchscreens were made equal because if you might recall, back in 2016 a developer pointed out how when compared to other Android phones, the OnePlus 3’s touch latency was the “worst”. Granted it might not necessarily be very perceivable by most users, but it does impact the overall experience of the phone.

The good news is that touch latency on the OnePlus 3 has been fixed, or at least that’s according to a tweet by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei in a recent tweet. According to Pei’s tweet, he has suggested that the touch latency for the OnePlus 3 has been addressed, and that they are now working on the alert slider.

We’re not sure if this has been addressed in the previous patch/update that was released for the phone or if it’s in reference to an upcoming one, but we are assuming the latter. Unfortunately there’s no timeline as to when the update will be released, but either way it’s good news for OnePlus 3 owners.
