Given that pretty much every console Nintendo has released has received a copy or variant of Mario Kart, it did not come as a surprise to learn that the Nintendo Switch would also be getting a Mario Kart of its own. This comes in the form of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe which is basically an enhanced version of the original Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U.
For those who are wondering about the game, Nintendo has recently published a video on YouTube in which they basically go over what are the new features that gamers can expect from Mario Kart 8. This includes a new battle mode, new characters that players can choose that are from other Nintendo franchises, and the game will also include all the DLCs that have been released for the game to date.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is set for a release on the 28th of April which means that next week you could be playing the game over the weekend with your friends. With the Nintendo Switch selling 2.4 million units worldwide, and with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild having an almost 1-to-1 attach rate, we’re pretty sure that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will have a similar effect on the console’s sales and popularity upon its release. In the meantime you can check out the video above if it’s your first time hearing about the game.
