The other day thanks to a photo that made its way onto Nintendo Russia’s website, it was revealed that there would be a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Switch bundle. In case it wasn’t obvious as to what it was, basically this is a Nintendo Switch that comes bundled with the upcoming Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.At that time it was unclear if it would see a release in other markets, but unfortunately if you were hoping that would be the case, you would be sorely mistaken. According to a report from GameSpot, it seems that Nintendo has confirmed to the publication that the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe bundle will be exclusive to Russia.
If you were hoping it would be a timed exclusive, prepare to be even more disappointed as a Nintendo rep said that there are no plans to release it for other countries right now. According to the rep, “The bundle is exclusive to Russia and there are no plans to bring it to other countries at this time.”
We’re not sure why there are no plans to release it in other parts of the world, especially when you consider the fact that the Mario Kart 8 Wii U bundle was available in multiple markets, but either way we guess gamers will just have to buy the console and the game separately. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is currently scheduled for a release on the 28th of April.
