However it seems that according to the folks at ArsTechnica, the lawsuit has since been expanded where it will now cover more devices such as the LG G5, the LG V20, and the Nexus 5X, which is basically almost every LG flagship that has been released in the past couple of years.
For those who are unfamiliar with the issue, LG’s handsets were affected by a bootloop issue that resulted in the device either getting bricked or slowing it down to the point where it is completely unusable. However it isn’t so much the bootloop issue that’s the problem here, but rather the way the company handled the situation where LG wouldn’t replace devices that were out of warranty.
However it should be noted that LG did offer Nexus 5X owners refunds, but we guess that wasn’t good enough. LG has yet to comment on the expansion of the class action lawsuit, but we can only imagine that the company will want to resolve this ASAP.
