However interestingly enough, some of Jay Z’s albums have found their way back onto Apple Music. Note that not all the albums have returned because as it stands, only “Reasonable Doubt” and the three “Blueprint” albums are the only ones available via Apple Music, meaning that there’s quite a bit of Jay Z’s discography that’s still missing.
This is only for Apple Music as Spotify still does not appear to have any of Jay Z’s songs or albums available. On the other hand it seems that Google’s Play Music has more of the musician’s materials, so if you really want to listen to his songs then Play Music or Tidal will probably be where you’ll have to go to for now.
It is possible that Jay Z’s albums returning to Apple Music could have been the result of negotiations between Apple and his label or with the artist himself. We’re not sure if his albums will ever find their way back to Spotify, but their absence combined with Jay Z’s popularity will no doubt represent a huge loss to Spotify.
