With some of the more major Android handsets having been officially announced, we guess the next item on the rumor mill is Apple’s 2017 iPhones. We’ve been hearing quite a bit about the iPhone 8 lately and have even come across renders and leaked schematics, but thanks to the latest leak, we might have an idea of what the phone will look like.
This latest image comes courtesy of Benjamin Geskin who uploaded photos that are allegedly that of a CNC dummy iPhone 8 model. Basically this is what the iPhone 8 could look like in real life, but it’s just a dummy unit so it is not working. However the dummy unit does “confirm” some of the design features we’ve been hearing about, such as an edge-to-edge display and a vertically stacked camera.

However interestingly enough what’s missing from the photos is Touch ID. Note that there is no Touch ID or home button on the front, and the back of the phone does not show Touch ID either, which is a design rumor we’ve been hearing about. This would suggest that with this particular dummy unit, it could be based on a prototype where Apple has successfully embedded the Touch ID sensor under the display.
In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but what do you guys make of the design? Is this an iPhone you would be interested in purchasing?
