If you’re someone who follows the Hearthstone tournament scene pretty closely, you now have a chance at winning yourselves some free card packs. With the Hearthstone Collegiate Championship drawing to a close, it seems that Blizzard is letting spectators pick a champion that they can root for, and if you make the right pick you will be able to win some card packs.
According to Blizzard, “Follow the action and cheer your champion on to victory! You will receive Mean Streets Of Gadgetzan card packs as your champion advances in the tournament on their quest for ultimate triumph.” Note that the card packs are for the previous expansion and not the latest release which is the recently released Journey to Un’Goro.
We suppose in a way you are almost betting, except that you’re not actually putting anything on the line so we guess you won’t really lose out if you pick the wrong champion. Given that it has been estimated that Hearthstone will now be more expensive to play if you were to buy card packs direct, being able to win yourself a couple of additional card packs might be a good way to score some freebies and save some money.
