However it seems that the second chance won’t be launched together with the handset. As confirmed by Axios by a Samsung representative, it seems that Samsung will not be launching Bixby Voice with the Galaxy S8. Instead the rest of Bixby’s features will be part of the launch, save for the actual voice option which we have to admit is probably the portion that everyone is most curious about.
The good news is that this is merely a delay as the feature will be arriving later this spring. According to Samsung, “Key features of Bixby, including Vision, Home and Reminder, will be available with the global launch of the Samsung Galaxy S8 on April 21. Bixby Voice will be available in the U.S. on the Galaxy S8 later this spring.”
Samsung remained mum on why the feature was delayed, but as Axios pointed out, demos of the feature had previously failed to work as intended so maybe Samsung is trying to fine tune it before it is released. In the meantime Samsung has confirmed that Bixby will eventually expand its support for other languages later this year.
