Fujifilm INSTAX Square Will Be Announced 19th April

Fujifilm’s Instax cameras have largely been film based, which we guess is part of the charm and fun of being able to snap a photo and print it on the spot. However with film packs not exactly coming cheap and being limited in quantity with each pack, one needs to be more discerning with the photos they take.

However if you want something like the Instax but with digital capabilities, you might be interested to learn that Fujifilm could be announcing the INSTAX Square come 19th of April. This is according to a report from Fuji Rumors who had also previously covered the INSTAX Square which began as a rumor before it was ultimately confirmed by Fujifilm themselves.

Details of the camera are a bit scarce at the moment, but from what we can tell it seems to be a digital version of the Instax Mini cameras. It is also said to sport a microSD card which further supports the rumors that it will be digital. Presumably this allows users to snap photos and store it on the card, and later choose which they want to print which we reckon is a pretty good idea.

No word on how much it is expected to cost but if the 19th of April announcement date holds true, we should have additional details to share pretty soon.
