Are you one of those people who signed up for EA Access soon after the service was launched? If you are then you might want to keep an eye on the mail. Many early EA Access supporters have reported that they received a free 2TB Xbox One External Hard Drive as a gift for supporting this service in its early days. They’ve been given a free 2TB Seagate Game Drive for Xbox One as a token of appreciation for their patronage.
That’s a pricey gift considering the fact that the Seagate Game Drive for Xbox One price starts at $119.99. It’s a conventional 2TB hard drive that went through a special paint job for the Xbox One.
Many EA Access subscribers who signed up early for this service have taken to Twitter to show that they received a package from EA that was accompanied by a card thanking them for being with EA Acces from the start.
For those who are unaware, EA Access was launched three years ago. It’s a monthly subscription service that costs $4.99 per month and provides access to The Vault that contains dozens of games for Xbox One that can be downloaded and played for no additional charge.
Even Microsoft’s Xbox boss Phil Spencer gave a shoutout to EA Access for recognizing fans who supported them from the very start.
EA appears to be sending out this gift in waves so those who subscribed for this service early and haven’t received their package from EA as yet should wait for a while because it may eventually end up on their doorstep.
Great to see @EAAccess recognizing the fans who have supported them from the start. Proud to have EA Access on XB1 #PlayMore @EA pic.twitter.com/tVVMC0HknZ
