When asked by a customer on Twitter whether or not the program would be finding its way to other parts of the world, like the UK, Xbox exec Aaron Greenberg replied by saying that no it will not, at least not anytime soon. However he acknowledges that the team has heard a ton of feedback from fans who want the feature, but it won’t be happening just yet.
@UkXboxFan @erret84 @Xbox Not at this time unfortunately, team has heard the feedback from fans who want in more markets.

According to Greenberg, “Not at this time unfortunately, team has heard the feedback from fans who want in more markets.” However as GameSpot points out, Microsoft announced last year that Design Lab would be launched in other regions in 2017, but Greenberg’s statement seems to suggest that maybe that won’t be happening yet, or maybe it could launch later in the year so we guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
It is a bit of a bummer as it is a pretty neat feature. The Design Lab controllers are slightly more expensive than your standard controller at $80 ($20 more than usual), and can run up to $90 by adding a custom laser engraving.
