ZTE has its first Android Wear-powered smartwatch in the pipeline. The last we heard about this device was last month when it stopped by the FCC for its regulatory certification. If you’ve been meaning to check it out then you will be delighted to find out that several pictures of the ZTE Quartz smartwatch have now appeared online. Some more information about the smartwatch has been revealed as well so there’s plenty to get up to speed on here.
The ZTE Quartz smartwatch is said to feature a metal build with tick marks on the bezel. It also has a small button on the side. The sports watch look is completed by the carbon fiber-like pattern on the strap. ZTE’s Quartz smartwatch runs Android Wear 2.0.
The accompanying report suggests that the smartwatch doesn’t have NFC which means it won’t be able to work with Android Pay. The FCC filings already revealed that it won’t have support for LTE but will support 3G. It’s not going to have a heart rate monitor as well.
That’s all there is to know about this smartwatch right now. The company is yet to confirm when it’s going to officially unveil this smartwatch and how much it’s going to cost.
