Apparently it seems that Verizon has been gearing up for a launch of an online streaming TV service that could be going live this summer. The carrier will reportedly start selling a package to customers where they would be able to stream dozens of channels, making it a first for the company that would be separate from go90 and its FiOS home TV services.
Verizon is clearly not the first company to launch such a service as other companies such as Dish and AT&T have their own offerings in the form of Sling TV and DirecTV. Whether or not Verizon’s offerings will be compelling enough to convince customers to hop on board their plan remains to be seen, but Bloomberg’s sources claim that Verizon’s pricing for its streaming TV will be similarly priced as its competitors.
Take it with a grain of salt for now since Verizon has yet to make any kind of official announcement, but what do you guys think? Would Verizon’s online streaming TV service be something you might be interested in subscribing to?
