As a quick note, Under Armour has 3D printed shoes in the past, such as back in 2016 when they introduced the 3D printed ArchiTech sneaker, so in reality the ArchiTech Futurist is kind of building off of that. With these sneakers, Under Armour will be using 3D printing to create a dynamic lattice network used for cushioning, and it is also meant to match a compression lace system that adds an external sleeve with a zipper and a UA SpeedForm upper that supposedly offers a more secure fit.
Given that Under Armour’s core products are still its compression clothing, we suppose it makes sense that they’re trying to apply that to their shoes. Whether or not this will result in a pair of comfortable shoes remains to be seen and one that you’ll definitely need to try in order to find out. Unfortunately the ArchiTech Futurist shoes do not come cheap as they are priced at $300, but if you’re interested they are expected to be available come 30th March, 2017.
