Lenovo-owned Motorola didn’t launch any flagship smartphones at the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona last month but that doesn’t mean it’s not working on one. An unannounced Motorola flagship has actually been spotted and it’s believed that this handset is running Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 processor. It’s the processor that’s going to power the likes of the Galaxy S8 this year so you know that if this is true, the handset will most definitely be a flagship.
A picture of this unannounced Motorola flagship smartphone has been posted online on Twitter. Tech journalist Diana Goovaerts posted this picture and mentioned that the device is covered up in a case and wrapped with tape to hide its design.
However, a Speedtest result on the phone gives more reason to believe that it’s going to be powered by the Snapdragon 835 because the modem embedded with this processor is capable of providing Gigabit LTE speeds.
Goovaerts further states that this smartphone is going to be released in the coming months and that it’s going to have four antennas. This will enable the handset to work on Gigabit LTE networks which are gradually being fired up and are likely to be comparatively more common in the United States by the time this handset arrives.
If this handset really is due to come out later this year you can rest assured that we’ll hear a lot more about it before Motorola officially launches it.
