However the good news is that might not be the case moving forward. According to a report from Mashable India, it seems that they have been tipped by their source that Samsung has plans to bring Samsung Pay to their non-premium smartphone lineup, including the Galaxy J series of handsets sold in India.
The report goes on to state that Samsung will be trialing out this feature over in India first to determine whether or not this is worth replicating in other markets. This is more than just a software update as there needs to be necessary hardware installed in order for Samsung Pay to work, which is why we guess it is understandable that Samsung might want to start slow.
However this isn’t the first time that we have heard that Samsung plans to bring the feature to all of its phones, but so far nothing definitive has taken place just yet.
