In a report from SamMobile, the Samsung Gear 360 Pro has been recently sighted at the FCC. However it seems that instead of being called the Gear 360 Pro, Samsung has decided to drop the “Pro” from its name which means that it’ll retain the Gear 360 moniker, or whatever else that Samsung thinks would be appropriate for it.
Unfortunately the FCC filing is heavily redacted, which we guess shouldn’t be a surprise as Samsung probably wants to keep its specs under wraps. However it does reveal the renderings, which you can see for yourself above, which shows off a camera that appears to be more designed for handheld use versus the tripod leg design we saw on last year’s model.
There is no word on when the new Gear 360 camera will be announced, but the Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to be announced at the end of March so we wouldn’t be surprised if Samsung were to announce the new Gear 360 at the event as well, so stay tuned for the details.
