The company is reportedly expecting the pre-order volume of the Galaxy S8 to outperform that of the Galaxy Note 7.
It’s expected that the Galaxy S8 is going to sell more units during the pre-order period as compared to the Galaxy Note 7. Samsung reportedly sold 400,000 units of the ill-fated flagship during its pre-order period.
Samsung is yet to confirm when it’s going to release the new flagship smartphone but reports suggest that the Galaxy S8’s pre-order period is going to run from April 7th to April 7th. Bear in mind that the company is due to unveil the handset on March 29th.
The report also suggests that Samsung will conduct hands-on events for the Galaxy S8 in major markets across the globe in a bid to get more people to experience its new smartphone. This might help in driving sales during the pre-order period.
It remains to be seen though if the Galaxy S8 performs as well as Samsung is hoping that it would, its mobile division already has a lot of ground to cover since it has been without a new flagship smartphone for almost a year now.
