Earlier this year it was announced that indie title “Rime” would be making its way onto the Nintendo Switch. The game was originally announced as an exclusive to the PS4, but its developers later decided that they wanted to bring it to other platforms such as the Xbox One, PC, and the Switch.
Unfortunately if you were hoping to get your hands on the game for your Switch console, know that it has been delayed. In a tweet by the official Rime account, the developers have confirmed that the game will be released on the 26th of May for all platforms save for the Switch, whose release date will be announced soon.
We are extremely excited to announce that RiME will be released on May 26th for XB1, PS4 and PC. Switch release date will be announced soon.

It also seems that the game will have its price increased for the Switch where it will cost $10 more than the other platforms. When asked why that is the case, the developer replied by saying, “The MSRP of the Switch version is based on development and go-to-market costs, which can vary for each platform.”
For those unfamiliar with Rime, it is basically a game that has a bit of a The Legend of Zelda feel to it. It sports similar-ish graphics which isn’t a bad thing, and is one of the 60 indie games that are supposedly headed for the Switch this year. In the meantime you can check out the game’s trailer above to get an idea of what to expect.
