Apple’s next-generation iPhone isn’t due until the fall this year but that doesn’t mean the company won’t tweak its lineup a bit. It has launched new storage options for the iPhone SE today which can now be purchased with up to 128GB of storage. That’s quite a bit for the company’s cheapest iPhone. The company has essentially doubled the capacity of the iPhone SE today.
Even since the iPhone SE was announced it has been available in 16GB and 64GB models. Today, Apple has launched the 32GB and 128GB storage options of the iPhone SE.
The iPhone SE is geared towards customers who don’t particularly like owning a larger phone so the iPhone 7 is out of the question for them. It’s also cheaper so it gives customers who are not looking to spend too much money on a smartphone the chance to join Apple’s ecosystem at an affordable cost.
Nothing else has been changed so it’s pretty much the same iPhone SE that we’ve known about for a very long time.
Despite the fact that the storage has been doubled, the price hasn’t changed. Customers can pick up the 32GB and 128GB iPhone SE for $399 and $499 unlocked respectively. It’s going to start selling both of this from Friday, March 24th.
