However if you were hoping to get your hands on the iPhone 8 at launch, you’ll have to move extremely fast. This is because in a research note by Barclays analysts Blayne Curtis, Christopher Hemmelgarn, Thomas O’Malley, and Jerry Zhang that was obtained by MacRumors, the majority of iPhone 8 stock is not expected until the fourth quarter of 2017.
The analysts have predicted that Apple will launch the iPhone 8 later this year and that it will go on sale as per usual, however the initial batch of units will be extremely limited in quantity which means that if you’re not fast enough, expect them to be sold out. It is expected to be similar to the situation with the Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus which was pretty much impossible to find at launch.
We’re not sure why Apple will have limited quantities at the start, perhaps it has to do with not being enough OLED supplies, or maybe it’s harder to manufacture compared to previous iPhones, but either way it’s something you’ll want to take note of should you decide that you want to get it.
