Earlier this year, HTC announced two new phones in the form of the HTC U Ultra and the HTC U Play. Presumably these two handsets will be the face of HTC for at least a few months, but it seems that the company has something that they plan on announcing on the 20th of March, at least that’s according to a recent post.
In a post on Facebook by HTC Taiwan, the caption accompanying the photo above reads, “HTC will give you an unexpected surprise”. Note that this is based on Google Translate so there could be something lost in between, but the gist of it is that HTC has something that they plan on announcing that will also be a surprise.
It’s hard to tell what exactly this could be given that the photo doesn’t really tell us much, except that it might have something to do with the Spring season. Perhaps we could be looking at more color variants for the recently-launched HTC handsets, or maybe it could be something else entirely and not even a phone.
It seems highly unlikely that the company would announce a new phone so soon when they could have easily done so at CES or MWC, right? In any case we guess this is something we’ll just have to wait and find out for ourselves, so check back with us on the 20th of March for the details.
