If you’re looking for a really powerful mobile device that’s powered by Windows 10 Mobile and has the ability to provide full PC-like functionality, look no further than the HP Elite x3. This is a really niche device that’s meant for people who want access to their Windows apps and services on the go and wouldn’t mind getting some work done by hooking up the smartphone to an external display and taking advantage of Windows 10’s Continuum feature. The handset and its Continuum dock are normally priced at $799 but Microsoft has now cut the HP Elite x3 price for a limited time.
Customers in the United States can now pick up the HP Elite x3 with its Continuum dock at a 25 percent discount courtesy of Microsoft. The company is now selling this bundle via the Microsoft Store for $599 instead of $799. This price cut is good for several weeks as the HP Elite x3 bundle can be purchased for $599 until March 31st.
You get a really powerful device for your money. It has a 5.96 inch Quad HD display, it’s powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor with 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, features a 16 megapixel rear and 8 megapixel front camera, 4G LTE support, USB Type-C, iris scanner, fingerprint scanner, IP67 dust and water resistance rating, Qi wireless charging, and a 4,150mAh battery.
HP is also believed to be working on the successor to the Elite x3 which will come with several design changes and hardware improvements. However, it’s not clear right now when HP intends to launch this new device.
