Google has since confirmed the existence of the app, but apparently they claim that this is merely an experiment and one of many that they are running. This means that there is no guarantee that the app will be released, but from what TechCrunch is reporting, it sounds rather interesting as it is an app that allows small groups edit photos together.
They have described it as being an app like Path meets Snapchat-style filters meets Google photo editing smarts. So far image editing apps have been largely a single-user experience, so it will be interesting to see what a group/social image editing app will be like, but presumably it will be collaborative in nature.
No word on when (or if) the app will launch, but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for more information. Perhaps we might learn more at Google I/O in May, so stay tuned for more updates in the future.
