A new report has surfaced recently which claims to reveal how much the Galaxy S8 is going to cost when it finally arrives next month. It’s said that the 5.7 inch Galaxy S8 is going to cost 799 euros ($859) and the 6.2 inch Galaxy S8 Plus will be priced at 899 euros ($967).
Handset pricing in different markets across the globe is far more complex than simple forex conversions, but they do give us an idea of where the price point is going to be. On the other hand, Apple’s 10th anniversary iPhone is expected to cost upwards of $1,000.
How will Apple justify that cost? That’s not clear but the iPhone 8 is expected to come with an entirely new design, an OLED display for the very first time, and some augmented reality features as well. Would that be enough to charge $1,000 for it?
We’ll have to wait and see what else the device offers before passing judgment on that.
