Samsung started rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge back in January this year. Since then the update has been making its way to more markets across the globe and carriers have been gradually sending it out as well. The company started rolling out said update for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge as well a couple of weeks ago and today multiple reports have emerged revealing that the Galaxy S6 Edge+ Nougat update is out as well.
Several reports have come in from Turkey which confirm that Galaxy S6 Edge+ users in the country have received the Android 7.0 Nougat update. Samsung has released firmware G928CXXU3CQC7 in the country. This particular firmware was also released by Samsung for the Galaxy Note 5 just a few days ago.
It’s a good sign that Samsung has now rolled out this update for the Galaxy S6 Edge+ but it goes without saying that it’s going to take a considerable amount of time before this update makes it way to more markets across the globe. These things take time and that’s something that most Android smartphones owners are aware of.
If you’re a Galaxy S6 Edge+ owner in any market other than Turkey, you may want to keep your fingers crossed and hope that Samsung follows through with this update in your country soon.
