The day that many Destiny fans had been waiting for has finally arrived. Following endless rumors about the sequel, Bungie today announced Destiny 2 officially. The developer has just shared the first piece of artwork for its upcoming title which is no doubt being anxiously awaited by millions of Destiny fans across the globe.
Despite confirming that the next title in this series is going to be predictably called Destiny 2, Bungie hasn’t gone into much detail about the new game. So it’s not known right now what the Destiny 2 gameplay is going to look like and it hasn’t even confirmed when the title is going to be released.
Bungie is likely going to provide us with more information about Destiny 2 at its E3 2017 press conference later this year in June. It has already confirmed what players can and can’t bring over from the original Destiny game.
Like its predecessor, Destiny 2 is going to be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The original title wasn’t released for PC but there have been rumors that Destiny 2 may arrive on PC as well. Bungie hasn’t formally confirmed or denied this possibility as yet.
Stay tuned for more information about Destiny 2 which should start trickling in gradually over the coming weeks and months.
