According to Samsung’s announcement of the feature, they have noted at the bottom of the page that Bixby will only support English and Korean at launch, but Samsung expects that more language support will come in the future. We’re not sure when exactly that will take place, but we guess it makes sense that Samsung will expand language support.
However for now what this means for users is that if you don’t speak English as your native language or Korean, then using Bixby will be quite pointless as it won’t understand other languages. We’re also not sure how well Bixby will handle accented English, since there are other countries that speak English, but not necessarily American English, so it is unclear if Bixby will run into trouble there.
In any case if you are curious about some of Bixby’s features and what it is capable of, then head on over to Samsung’s website for the additional details.
