Apple Engineers Reportedly Working On Remaining CIA Exploits

Wikileaks recently posted a bunch of exploits that were kept and reportedly used by the CIA to break into devices and software that was supposed to be secure. Apple had already claimed to have already patched most of the exploits, and a recent report from The Wall Street Journal (via 9to5Mac) has revealed that Apple engineers are already working on patching the rest.

According to Apple’s previous statement, “While our initial analysis indicates that many of the issues leaked today were already patched in the latest iOS, we will continue to work rapidly address any identified vulnerabilities.” The report from the WSJ also revealed that the company’s engineers had previously run into some trouble as the software used to hack their devices wasn’t being shared.

However as you might recall, Wikileaks recently announced that they would be sharing the tools and working with these tech companies to help them fix the flaws that were discovered, so hopefully we can expect a patch in the near future that should address these issues. Of course this by no means puts an end to security flaws, holes, or exploits, but we guess at the very least it makes things a bit harder for hackers in the future, regardless of which side they are supposed to represent.
