Amazon Will Now Deliver Groceries To Your Trunk

The AmazonFresh grocery program has gradually been expanded to more markets. It allows Prime subscribers to add fresh groceries from the online retail giant. The company is now expanding the reach of AmazonFresh to provide even more convenience to users. It has launched a new service in beta today called AmazonFresh Pickup. It’s a drive-in grocery delivery service which will deliver the good to your car’s trunk.

It all sounds fairly simple. All you have to do is order online from AmazonFresh and then pick a time slot which can even be within 15 minutes of placing your order. You then have to drive to an AmazonFresh Pickup location and park your car where a service agent will appear in a few minutes to directly load them into your car’s trunk.

Amazon is offering this service for free to Amazon Prime members which provides them more bang for their buck. The best part is that there’s no minimum order value so even if you want to use this service just to buy shoe polish, you can.

Items available on AmazonFresh include meats, fresh produce, dairy, bread, a wide variety of household items, and more. The program is only limited to Amazon employees right now as it’s in beta but it will gradually be opened to a broader audience before it’s eventually made available to all Prime members.

There’s an obvious geographical limitation to this service. The current pickup locations can be found in Settle’s SODO and Ballard neighborhoods.
