T-Mobile Galaxy S7 And Galaxy S7 Edge Nougat Update Released

Samsung may have started rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge early last month but users in the United States are still waiting for the update to arrive. That’s because the majority of these handsets have been sold through carriers in the country and we all know just how much mobile carriers like to hold up updates. T-Mobile is finally following through with the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge on its network, but there’s a catch.

According to reports, the T-Mobile Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge Nougat update has been released for those who installed the beta version of this firmware when it came out last year. T-Mobile is sending out the final Android 7.0 Nougat release to those users over-the-air.

The Nougat update that T-Mobile is sending out now includes the latest February 1st security patch aside from all of the features and improvements that you’ve come to expect from Nougat. As previously mentioned, the only caveat with this release is that it’s limited to those who participated in the Galaxy S7 Nougat beta program. Those who didn’t participate in the program will have to wait for a bit more time to get a taste of Nougat.

While neither Samsung nor T-Mobile have confirmed a release date for them as yet, it’s expected that Nougat will be out for all Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge owners on Magenta by the end of this month.
