Netflix has been absolutely killing it with their original TV series. Pretty much every show that they’ve launched has been a hit, save for a couple of missteps, but otherwise they have been very well-received. This includes Orange is the New Black, House of Cards, Marvel’s Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage, and also last year’s Stranger Things.
In fact Stranger Things was so well-received that a second season was ordered and if you’re wondering when we might be able to expect season 2 to be launched, you’ll be pleased to learn that during Netflix’s 2017 Super Bowl ad, the company has confirmed that the second season of Stranger Things will be released on Halloween 2017, which is the 31st of October and is a Tuesday.
According to the teaser’s description of the second season, “A year after Will’s return, everything seems back to normal… but a darkness lurks just beneath the surface, threatening all of Hawkins.” Now if you’ve seen the first season, you’ll know that the end did seem to hint that we would expect more of the Upside Down dimension, and the teaser trailer certainly does seem to hint at that.
We have to admit that we are pretty excited for it, but given that Halloween 2017 is still quite a long time off, we’ll just have to remain patient until again, and maybe binge-watch the first season again.
