Sony has started rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat update once again for the Xperia Z3+, Z4 Tablet, and the Xperia X5 series. This is actually the second time that the company is rolling out said update for the aforementioned devices because after it released the update for the first time, Sony had to pull it because there were still a few bugs that it needed to fix before the release was good for public consumption.
Sony halted the initial release of Android 7.0 Nougat for the aforementioned devices merely three days after it was sent out. Many issues were reported with the release, including but not limited to issues related to SD card performance, audio playback, and battery life.
The company didn’t really send out a fix for those issues quickly because it has taken three weeks since the rollout was halted for the company to resume sending out Android 7.0 Nougat for the Xperia Z3+, the Xperia Z4 Tablet, and the Xperia Z5 series.
According to reports, the latest update has version number 32.3.A.0.372 and it’s now being rolled out. Aside from fixes for the bugs mentioned previously, it brings everything that Google has promised with Android 7.0 Nougat so those who have yet to upgrade their Sony device to this version will be happy to get many new features and improvements.
Let’s hope no issues persist after this and that users can continue to use their devices as intended without having to wait for another release.
