It had been a while since Samsung launched new notebooks powered by Google’s web-based Chrome OS. The company ended that streak last month at the Consumer Electronics Show 2017 in Las Vegas when it announced not one but two new Chromebooks. The Samsung Chromebook Plus and Chromebook Pro are the latest offerings from the Korean company and of these new notebooks is finally available for purchase now.
Samsung promised at the Consumer Electronics Show 2017 that it was going to release the Chromebook Plus in February. It’s following through on that promise now. The Samsung Chromebook Plus is now available for purchase via multiple retailers in the United States.
It features an ARM-based hexacode OP1 processor with 4GB RAM, 32GB storage, a 12.3 inch 2,400×1,600 pixel resolution display as well as a Stylus. Google Play Store comes installed striaght out of the box.
The company is also going to offer a Chromebook Pro which features an Intel Core m3 processor but for that customers will have to wait until “spring” this year. While you’re waiting for it to arrive, why not check out our review of the Samsung Chromebook Pro?
Those who are interested in picking up a Samsung Chromebook Plus right now can head over to retailers like Amazon and Best Buy to purchase it for $449.
