According to the report that quotes a music insider, they have learnt that come 12th of February, Prince’s music will be available on other music streaming platforms. This includes Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer, Pandora, and Google Play, just to name a few. Prior to this, the artist’s albums and songs were exclusive to Tidal, and before that back in July of 2015, his albums weren’t even available on streaming platforms at all as he requested for them to be taken down.
However following his death, it seems that his estate has been working on deals to return his work to the various streaming services available today. This will change on the 12th of February which is also when the Grammy Awards will be taking place. In fact it seems that Spotify might have already revealed their plans as on Monday, a Spotify ad was spotted in the New York City subway where the logo was pictured against a Prince-purple backdrop.
In any case if you’re a fan of Prince then this is something worth looking forward to, so check back with us in the coming weeks for the confirmation.
