Play Store Could Be Getting A ‘Refresh’ Button Soon

Have you ever checked the Google Play Store for app updates only to find that there isn’t any, despite the fact that you know that there should be one? At the moment the only way to refresh the app store would be to restart it or switching activities, but the good news is that it looks like the long-awaited refresh button could be on its way.

According to Android Police, it seems that Google is testing out adding a refresh button to the Google Play Store. What this means is pretty straightforward, where users can press the refresh button to reload the Play Store to see if there are any updates that are available for download. This can be important as sometimes updates are issued to fix certain bugs or to get new features, so that’s why some users are quite concerned about the timeliness of getting an app update.

Unfortunately since these features appear to be in testing, it’s hard to say if or when they will be released to the public. However we can only hope that they will be made available in the next update to the Google Play Store. In the meantime if you are curious about the new changes that Google is making to the Google Play Store, then check out Android Police’s video above.
