Quandt’s tweet is based on information from a UK retailer who has listed the phone as available in mid-March. Now sometimes phone availability differs from region to region so it is unclear if this rumored mid-March availability is for the UK or if it could be representative for the rest of the world, so maybe take it with a grain of salt for now.

As for the Moto G5, this is expected to be the company’s next mid-range offering and will be an upgrade over last year’s Moto G4. According to recently leaked specs, the handset is rumored to pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset with a 5-inch Full HD display. Under the hood 2GB of RAM will be available along with 32GB of expandable storage.
There will be LTE support, Android 7.0 Nougat as its operating system of choice, and a 2,800mAh battery which when coupled with its not-so-demanding specs, should last users a pretty decent amount of time.
