If the rumors are true, Motorola has a new handset in the work in the form of the Moto G5 Plus. There is also a smaller version that is rumored to be called the Moto G5, and now thanks to a post on Google+ by Dan Cautella (via GSMArena), a photo has surfaced that is allegedly that of the Moto G5 Plus.
Now it’s a bit hard to make out exactly how big the phone is, but word has it that the Moto G5 Plus will be of the 5.2-inch display variety, at least according to the promotional sticker that is placed on its display. Other alleged features include a 12MP “rapid focus” camera, a 3,000mAh battery with TurboPower, a 2.0GHz octa-core processor, a fingerprint reader, and “Motorola Experiences”.
It definitely does not sound like a very powerful handset, but then again Motorola’s G-series of phones are more of the mid-range variety so we guess it looks like that won’t be changing anytime soon. We can’t confirm if this photo and its specs are the real deal, so take it with a grain of salt for now. We’re also not sure if this means that the Moto G5 will have a smaller display but maintain the same specs.
That being said, Motorola Germany recently published a countdown clock on its website in which they seem to be counting down towards an event/announcement. Given that it lands right on MWC 2017, we guess Motorola will probably have something to share with us then.
