It used to be that developing film was the only way we could get our photos printed. However fast forward to today, developing film has mostly become something that enthusiasts are interested in, thanks to the fact that these days digital cameras are pretty much everywhere you see, thus removing the need for film.
However if you are interested in developing film but don’t have a proper studio to do it in, not to worry because it seems that there is a Kickstarter project for a device called the Lab-Box, with the idea being that with Lab-Box, you’ll be able to develop film while on the go. This also means that it is small enough for you to do it at home should you not need the mobility.
The best part is that you won’t actually need a darkroom setup that you normally would with regular film development. This is because everything is done in the box itself, which means that you could be halfway hiking through the woods when you decide that maybe you want to develop a photo and it would not be a problem.
The process also appears to be very simple and straightforward, which should hopefully reduce the number of errors in the process. So far reception to its concept has been extremely positive, at least judging by how much money it has raised. If this is something you might be interested in then head on over to its Kickstarter page for the details.
