Another mid-range handset from HTC is making its way to the United States. The HTC Desire 650 was actually launched back in Taiwan last December and it was initially made exclusive to that country. However, it appears that one prepaid carrier is now bringing it over to the United States. A tweet has brought us the leaked render of the HTC Desire 650 complete with a Cricket logo so there are no mysteries about the prepaid carrier that’s going to introduce this device to the United States.
The leaked render comes from the infamous Twitter leakster @evleaks who has a sold track record with these things. The render shows us the HTC Desire 650 with Cricket Wireless branding. As previously mentioned, this is a mid-range device so don’t expect specifications that will blow some of the best phones on the market out of the water.
It has a 5 inch LCD display with a Snapdragon 400 processor under the hood coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. The device also features a 13 megapixel rear and 5 megapixel front camera. It has a 2,200mAh battery and comes with Android 6.0 out of the box. No word as yet on the pricing and availability of the HTC Desire 650.
The render might be out but Cricket Wireless is yet to confirm when it’s going to start selling this phone and how much it’s going to charge for it.
