We’ve heard countless times by now that Samsung is going to launch two models of the Galaxy S8 this year, the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus. It’s not expected to launch an “edge” model this year because both are said to feature a dual-edge curved display. Recent reports suggest that the larger model is going to be called the Galaxy S8 Plus. A leaked logo more or less confirms that the larger model is indeed going to be referred to as the Galaxy S8 Plus.
The infamous Twitter leakster @evleaks has tweeted a picture of this leaked logo which simply says “Samsung Galaxy S8+.” As recent reports back this up, it’s easy to imagine now that this is really what Samsung is going to call the 6.2 inch version of its next flagship smartphone.
The smaller version of the next Samsung flagship is believed to have a 5.8 inch display. Despite their size difference, both models are expected to offer Quad HD resolution and a similar power package consisting of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 coupled with 4GB of RAM.
Many would have expected the company to launch the device at the Mobile World Congress 2017 later this month but that’s not going to be the case. Samsung is expected to conduct an event in New York next month where it’s going to finally unveil the Galaxy S8.
