According to the folks at Android Police, they have noted “hundreds” of users reporting the issue of the Bluetooth on their phones randomly disconnecting. Android Police’s Corbin Davenport is reporting that he has encountered similar problems with his Pixel as well, and many are speculating that this could be somehow linked to the recent patch that addressed the audio issues.
Apparently one of the fixes in the patch had to do with privilege escalation in Bluetooth, so it has been suggested that fixing that might have broke something else in the process. The good news is that it seems that Google is aware of the problem, according to the response from a Google rep on Reddit.
The company is looking into a fix but so far nothing has been found yet. That being said this issue is annoying at best since users can always just turn Bluetooth on again, but it’s still a problem that we hope Google will address ASAP. In the meantime are any of our readers with Pixel phones affected by this problem as well?
