Apple Pay Will Soon Be Coming To Taiwan

Apple Pay has been out for a while now but unfortunately its availability is still kind of limited. However it is slowly but surely finding its way to markets around the world, and the good news for our friends and readers in Taiwan is that it looks like Apple Pay will finally be making its way to the country.

According to Apple’s website, it seems that the service has been listed as “coming soon” and so far there are at least seven banks who will be participating. This includes the Cathay United Bank, CTBC Bank, E. Sun Commercial Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Taipei Fubon Commercial Bank, Taishin International Bank, and Union Bank of Taiwan.

Users in Taiwan are expected to get the same Apple Pay features as everyone else, which includes reward cards as well as support for online payments. When the service is launched, Taiwan will be the 14th market in which Apple Pay will be made available in. So far this includes Australia, Canada, China/Hong Kong, France, Japan, New Zealand, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, the U.K., and the U.S.

There is no word on when exactly the feature will be rolled out to users, but given that it says “Coming soon” we guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
