If you’re wondering if you can get away with just 32GB of storage, think again because according to Nintendo’s official website (via Nintendo Life), it has been revealed that the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will take up a whopping 13.4GB on the Switch, and 13GB on the Wii U.
What this means is that minus the operating system and other system files that have been installed on the Switch, you’ll have less than 32GB to begin with, and whatever’s left about half will be going to Breath of the Wild. This means that if you do plan on buying the Switch, you might want to invest in some SDXC memory cards as well because it looks like you might need it.
That being said, Breath of the Wild is an open world game and it looks expansive, so this might explain why it takes up so much space. However if you’d rather not be inconvenienced by juggling memory, then either buy an SDXC memory card or purchase a physical copy of the game where presumably the cartridge will take up little to no memory on your console.
