Xiaomi first unveiled the Mi Mix handset last year. It’s unlike anything else on the market right now. Its 6.4 inch display is essentially edgeless and is tucked in nicely into a body fashioned out of ceramic. Due to its exceptional screen-to-body ratio, the handset almost has the same measurements as leading 5.5 inch handsets and yet provides a 6.4 inch display. This handset was previously launched in black and Xiaomi confirmed at the Consumer Electronics Show 2017 today that it’s also going to be available in white.
It’s a powerful handset as well. The Mi Mix packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor and is available in two configurations that include 4GB of RAM with 128GB storage and 6GB of RAM with 256GB of storage. Aside from its 4,400mAh battery, the handset also has support for Quick Charge 3.0 and packs a 16 megapixel rear camera.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix has proven to be very successful in the company’s home market of China. The first batch of Mi Mix smartphones sold out in under ten seconds, making this Xiaomi’s fastest-selling smartphone yet.
There were rumors about Xiaomi introducing a white color option for the Mi Mix and that’s what the company has done today at the Consumer Electronics Show 2017. The white Mi Mix has the same ceramic body so it’s durable and scratch resistant but provides a brilliant pearly white finish.
The Mi Mix will start shipping in white later this year in China.
