Microsoft announced the next big Windows update – called Windows 10 Creators Update – a couple of months ago. It confirmed during the announcement that the Windows 10 Creators Update release is going to take place in early 2017. Many believe that this meant it would be out by March 2017 but if a new report is believed, the Windows 10 Creators Update may actually be released in April this year.

Most rumors about the Windows 10 Creators Update release have suggested that it would be out in March 2017 but a new report from MSPU claims that’s not going how it’s going to be. The report claims that the update will be released in April instead.

The report also mentions that Windows 10 Creators Update will be “feature-locked” by late January. “Feature-locked” means that Microsoft will be done with adding new features to this update and will spend the remaining few months fixing bugs and tweaking the overall package to ensure that there’s a smooth release.

Microsoft is only sticking with its “early 2017” timeframe for the Windows 10 Creators Update release. It’s yet to provide a confirmed release date so we won’t know for sure when it will be out until the company makes it clear to us.

Windows 10 Creators Update is going to bring several new features to the OS, including but not limited to a Game Mode that enhances performance while playing games as well as a blue light filter.
