[CES 2017] Back in 2016, HumanEyes Technologies announced the Vuze 360 degree camera. Clearly this is aimed at VR because with 360 degree videos, it allows users to pan around like they are there in person. The fact that it is relatively small and compact also meant that users can bring it with them on the go.
Unfortunately at its launch last year, it was not announced when the camera would be available, at least until now at CES 2017 where the company has announced the the Vuze camera will begin shipping in March 2017. If you are interested in getting your hands on it, Vuze is priced at $800.
You might balk at the price tag but note that there are other solutions out there that cost more, like GoPro’s $15,000 Odyssey or Nokia’s $45,000 Ozo. Granted there are cheaper solutions out there, but the Vuze camera will actually come equipped with 8 cameras surrounding it, which should allow for higher quality capture than say the recently announced Giroptic iO.
In any case if you are interested you can go ahead and place a pre-order via its website. The pre-order will nab you the camera, the accompanying VR headset, the Vuze Mini Tripod, and the accompanying apps.
