It seems that Verizon has had enough of the abuse and has started telling their employees that customers who average more than 200GB of data usage a month will be forced off their unlimited data plans. These customers will then have until the 16th of February, 2017 to either sign up for a new plan at the carrier, or face disconnections in which they’ll still need to sign a new plan, although at this point we guess customers can choose either to stick with Verizon or move to a different carrier.
However according to Droid-Life, they have noticed that some of their readers as well as from posts on Reddit that some unlimited customers who don’t exceed 200GB are getting notices, so we’re not sure why that is happening, but the official stance from Verizon is 200GB being the limit. Either way this is something you’ll want to take note of lest you suddenly find yourself without a phone line next month.
